About the event

The Global Financial Stability Report is a flagship report of the International Monetary Fund. The IMF team will present the October 2023 edition, "Financial and Climate Policies for a High-Interest-Rate Era."

Presentation of GFSR chapter 1 by Jason Wu - 

Risks to global financial stability is elevated. Cracks in the financial system may turn into worrisome fault lines should a soft landing of the global economy hoped for by investors and policymakers does not materialize.   

Presentation of GFSR chapter 2 by Hiroko Oura - 

A weak tail of banks globally is uncovered by the IMF's global stress test and key risk indicator methodologies  in a higher-for-longer environment. In response to the vulnerabilities that are found, enhancements to supervisory practices and regulatory standards  are proposed.
