About the event
ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) is a complex and crucial issue in the current finance industry. It has been a trending topic for a few years, but many investors and financial institutions are still unaware of the risks associated with ESG. Getting it wrong can result in legal, regulatory, practical, and reputational challenges. However, the risks of ESG can also present opportunities to make a positive impact. It is important to recognize the materialization of these risks in various ways and take action to address them. We simply cannot afford to look away from the importance of ESG in the finance industry.
We are honoured to have three experts, Teresa Ko, China Chairman, Tim Mak, Head of Asia Dispute Resolution, Matthew O’Callaghan, Head of Asia Financial Services, from Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, one of the top multinational legal firms in the world, as distinguished speakers in this forum. Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer is one of the largest and most prestigious law firms in the world. In 2020, the firm was recognised as a leader in ESG, including being ranked as a Tier 1 law firm for ESG by Legal 500 UK.
