About the event
This iCube Book Series event, co-organized by HKU Centre for AI, Management and Organization and iCube, marked the launch of the book co-authored by scholars from the London School of Economics and HKUBS – Prof. Jin Li (HKUBS), Prof. Yanhui Wu (HKUBS), and Prof. Luis Garicano (LSE). The authors shared key insights from the book: “Messy Jobs: The Work That AI Cannot Reach”, offering a clear-eyed framework for understanding the limits of AI and where human irreplaceability begins.
The individual presentations by the three authors transitioned into a highly interactive panel and Q & A session moderated by David Shao, Research Assistant at HKU CAMO, where the authors reflected on what inspired them to write the book and the essential “messy” skills we all need to build. An interactive Q&A session followed, with audiences posing thought-provoking questions and receiving insightful responses from the authors.
